On some highways in Texas we’re going to be seeing higher speed limits. The last legislative session gave the Texas Department of Transportation the ok to establish 75 mph speed limits on certain roads where it can be done safely.
Some areas where the speed limits are being raised are near Houston. It’s segments of I-10 and I-45 leading out of Houston, as well as I-35 and other highways in the state. The speed limit signs will be made over the next 90 days. In the meantime, continue at the normal speed limit.
Hopefully, they will raise the speed limit throughout the state totally. I’m just saying
