I’m sure you’ve seen the memes of that baby who people are calling Steph Curry’s son. If not, let’s just say that he’s not his baby….
Little Landon Lee now has almost 54 thousand followers on Instagram and he might be loved my others, but that’s not how it stared.

His momma, Jessica Benton, is speaking out about her baby’s picture that a stranger shared on Facebook that started the online trolling and bullying aimed at her 10-month old baby.
Jessica says, “The person who shared my photo asked people to give Landon nicknames. They were very cruel. Some made me cringe, like, how can you say that about someone, much less a baby?”
At the time, Jessica said that she didn’t know who the Warriors Steph Curry was, but once she said the comment that called her baby, “Stuff Curry,” she Googled Steph and saw that her baby did resemble him.
This is what Jessica said about Steph, “It was offensive. I thought, ‘he’s not bad looking! If they made him a child’s doll, he’d look like Landon!'”
Jessica tells us that a majority of the comments were negative and fat-shamming her baby and that just isn’t ok for Jessica.
It’s a shame that people didn’t realize that when Jessica was pregnant, she lost her son Kevin to suicide.
In high school, Kevin was bullied and it just lowered his self-esteem and one day he just couldn’t do it anymore.
She said, “As a mom, I feel like I didn’t protect Kevin enough. I remember sitting with him at the end of his junior year, and he told me that the words people told him hurt. He was such a soft, kind soul, the bullying really affected him.”
Now, Jessica is still posting Landon’s pictures, but now she does it with him wearing t-shirts that say, “Anti-Bully Squad” and “Bullies No Bueno” to fight against bullying… also she puts him in a “Stuff Curry” shirt.
The mom also touches on the assumptions that people make about the baby being fluffy looking. “People assume Landon is eating junk food. He has four teeth!”
She said that when he went on solid foods, she started giving him whole-wheat pancakes made with breast milk and fruit.
As far as letting Landon know about all this attention she said, “When he’s a little older- 5 or 6 – I’ll let him know the world loved him. When he’s 8 or 12, I’ll tell people tried to buy him but it wasn’t successful. I hope that will help him in life have strong self-esteem and stand up for others.”
She also said that people should know better, we all know that people are killing themselves over cyber bullying too.
