On Tuesday, April 7th, Selena’s Facebook page made an amazing announcement for all her fans!
A company named Acrovirt, LLC is launching “Selena The One”, a hologram of Selena Quintanilla Perez performing.
Their website is saying that the Selena hologram will be a “walking, talking, singing, and dancing digital embodiment of iconic singer Selena.”
The Co-found of Acrovirt, Terry Kennedy said, “Selena is a Latin American icon who was taken before her time. Acrovirt and the Quintanilla family are excited to announce that Selena will continue to share her creative talents with the world in a new innovative way.”
On Selena’s Facebook page, they said, “Selena The One” will release new songs and videos, will collaborate with current hit artists, and aims to go on tour in 2018.”
According to an article on Rolling Stone, Selena’s father originally spoke with the same company that put out the hologram of Tupac Shukar back in 2012, AV Concepts. Tupac’s hologram was unveiled at Coachella with Snoop and Dr. Dre performing with him.
Selena’s family said that her imagine that was done by AV Concepts made her look like a ghost.
The 20th Anniversary of Selena’s death was March 31st.
