(McKinney, TX)  —  A McKinney, Texas apartment complex is using DNA to go after tenants who don’t scoop the poop of their pet dogs.  The Avana El Dorado apartment complex is telling tenants to provide dog DNA samples so the offenders can be identified.  Violations will cost a pet owner 500 dollars.  Some at the complex don’t like the idea but the apartment management says the action is “in the interest of the health and welfare of our residents and their pets.”
