The seven year old DE/TE from Oklahoma city who sent the Texans’ J.J. Watt a letter along with his signed jersey was shocked and surprise of the response he received.
Little Anthony’s dad unknowingly had a friend who knew Watt’s agent and that’s when dad passed along Anthony’s package he had for J.J. Watt.

Anthony’s mom said in her interview, “We just thought it was really cute. He got everything ready on his own. After Anthony’s last game of the season, he asked me to wash his jersey. Then he laid it out on the kitchen table and wrote it out himself. We didn’t have any idea what he was doing until he told me, ‘I want to send this to J.J.”
Before Watt put Anthony’s note and jersey on Twitter, he sent them an e-mail to make sure it was ok to post Anthony’s items and he also sent Anthony something  personal.
His mom said, “He sent a video showing Anthony that he’d gotten the jersey and that he’d put it up in his office with all these awards. It was right there with stuff from Peyton  Manning and Drew Brees!”
When J.J. received his letter and signed jersey, he posted it on his personal Twitter page on Dec. 15th saying, “this kid has some guts… I like it.” That posting was liked by nearly 59,000 people and was surprisingly re-tweeted by 29,000 people in two days.
Mom said that Anthony “had a huge smile on his face…. he couldn’t hardly sleep that night. He just wants to watch it over and over again.”
Watts’ message to Anthony was, “expect something in the mail.”
It’s a good to hear his mom say, “Anthony didn’t want to ask J.J. for anything. He just wanted J.J. to know that he had influenced him to go for his dream. He didn’t ask for anything in return. I just think that is so sweet.”
J.J. just never fails to amaze people how much of a stand-up and humbling man he is.
