Check out a recent blog from our sister station from a young teen, hooded and resembling Trayvon Martin:
A lot has happen in the past 3 months but to me, this one has stands out the most. The tragedy of the killing of Trayvon Martin, is making a tremendous impact on the youth today. Today’s youth, are being made more aware of what goes on in our communities; we are keeping up with the news, and of our surroundings. This horrible event has affected kids from the ages 12+ and the reason I created this image. It shows that Trayvon Martin, could have been me. The significance of this photo is, that just because you’re African American and you wear a hood, doesn’t mean, that you are up to, no good.
