In order to get publisher Conde Nast to see the potential in the magazine – that would pay homage to African women – Cameroonian photographer Mario Epanya created fake covers, with beautiful models and styling. But all his hard work did not pay off.
We’re still giving props to VOGUE Italia for continuing to feature a bevy of black models within their pages. Now, VOGUE Russia has jumped on board as well.
If the rumors are true (and we hope they are), this cover will only be slightly less than groundbreaking.
If this music thing doesn’t work out - after all, BET is banning her latest video from getting any play - then we’re sure she can make and easy transition into modeling.
