Vandals removed American flags and toppled stones of Black veterans. The police are investigating whether it was a hate crime.

Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said that police are questioning witnesses again in order to accurately verify claims.

Modesto police are investigating a White student for a possible hate crime. He appears in a Snapchat video with a noose and gun, directly threatening a Black classmate.

Dylann Roof has been charged with 33 federal hate crime and firearms charges for the shooting. The case is expected to go to trial July 11.

The attack happened two days before Valentine's Day in Riverdale, Georgia. Marquez Tolbert, slept over at the apartment of Anthony Gooden's family. The couple was later violently awoken by Martin Blackwell, the boyfriend of Gooden's mother, who allegedly poured scalding water on them as they slept, the report says.

An Iowa man is facing hate crime charges after he was arrested on Sunday for fighting with a Black man. Andy Benavidez of Iowa City was wearing a surgical mask when police discovered him fighting the other man, and told police he wore the mask because he was “allergic to Black people,” local outlet KGAN reports.
