I’ve always been so completely annoyed by those shirts “You CAN’T sit with us”. I mean isn’t this a huge sign of bullying? Isn’t this saying “We are better than you and you won’t ever be good enough”. I don’t know. Maybe I’m thinking to deep into it but in a world where young women already don’t feel accepted by their peers, maybe we could focus a little more on offering a seat at our table.
Yesterday, I held an appreciation dinner to honor the ladies who help make my I’m Me Tour such a success! Sitting at this table were an amazing group of women who selflessly give of their time, energy, talents, and more to better the lives of young ladies in our community. These are our volunteers, interns, presenters, DJ and coordinator. Yesterday I said “Thank You” to these wonderful women for being great role models, positive women and outstanding contributors to the world. Thanks for allowing me to sit at your table.
