Today the announcement hit that the Houston Astros have signed the free-agent pitcher Hector Rondon.
Rondon, 29 became a free-agent on December 1st after being non-tendered by the Chicago Cubs. He played his first five season with the Chicago Cubs, struggling to a 4.24 ERA and 4.12 FIP in 57.1 innings last year.
The right-hander was being looked at by Washington and other clubs before the Astros picked him up.
