Congratulations to Radio One’s own Cathy Hughes on achieving a huge milestone!

Howard University’s School of Communications will formally rename itself after media mogul Cathy Hughes.

Cathy Hughes is the chairperson and founder of Radio One. Ms. Hughes founded Radio One in 1980, along with then-husband Dewey Hughes. Radio One is the largest African-American owned and targeted multi-media company in the U.S. Radio One is also the parent company of Interactive One, which owns NewsOne.

Ms. Hughes’ naming ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 23, 2016. View the full schedule of events below:
