Jay Z continues his quest for world domination. After signing a slew of artists including DJ Khaled, Justine Skye, and most recently T.I., Hov now has his sights on taking over Latin music.

The newly established Roc Nation Latin entertainment division will focus on developing Latin talent providing support on marketing, endorsements, philanthropic efforts, media relations, and brand strategy.

As Roc Nation forays into unknown territory who better to serve as their guide than Billboard’s biggest Latin artist of 2014 and 2015, bachatero Romeo Santos.

“Romeo has had tremendous success as a composer and producer and can spot true talent. This is a tremendous step for Roc Nation. We recognize there is a huge Latin market that is part of global culture. We’re proud and ready to enter into true partnership with an individual that intimately lives and knows that culture.”

Santos will serve as CEO with longtime Roc Nation partner Johnny Marines serving as President. The Dominican singer had this to say about his new role,

“With this next step and phase in my career I see a great opportunity to give back all that I have learned during the past few years to new talent. Not only do I idolize Jay Z as an artist but also as a business mogul. Jay Z is a visionary who was able to recognize that in our Latin Culture there is a lot of talent. I am grateful for his trust and that he has seen in me an ally for all Latinos.”

We cannot wait to see what Hov and Santos bring to the world of Latin music. Congratulations to Santos on joining La Familia and check out Jay and Romeo inking the deal below.
