Adrianne Lewis, 18, has self nicknamed herself, “Long Tongue Lewis.”
That nickname is with good reason since Lewis has a recorded 4-inch tongue. Lewis wants the Guinness World Records to measure her tongue out because that latest record holder measured at 3.97 inches.
The teen’s mother, Julianne told Bancroft TV that she originally noticed that her daughter’s tongue was longer than normal when Lewis was around 10 or 12 years old.
“She would stick her tongue out, touch her nose and touch her elbow. I think she was kind of discovering herself,” Julianne said.
Julianne said that the long tongue gene runs in the family, but Lewis’ probably grew more so from a lot of use.
“I think that with time, and with me being the weird kid that I was and always sticking out my tongue, it could have stretched,” Lewis said.
