NBA baller Kendrick Perkins was arrested today for an incident that took place at a Texas nightclub in July.
According to reports, the Oklahoma City Thunder star and his brother-in-law Quincy Alpough allegedly attacked a woman named Mikeeta Cotton by punching her in the face. Sources say the incident started after a fender bender in the parking lot of the Houston club Nox.
Cotton claims she was driving her car in front of the club and got into a fender bender with Alpough’s female cousin.
Cotton says the woman attacked her … and Alpough quickly joined in, pushing her and yelling.
Cotton claims Perkins — who’s 6’10″ also entered the fracas and punched her brother in the head … and then smacked her in the face with a closed fist.
“We were made aware of the allegations,” Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement. “It is something we take seriously and are gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
TMZ reports that authorities investigated the situation and found enough evidence to charge the 28-year-old with misdemeanor assault.
He is currently free on $1,000 bond.
