Most single people are seeking more than a just a holiday fling.  Nearly two-thirds of those taking part in a recent Zoosk survey say they’re hoping to find that special someone this holiday season, with 63-percent noting that they’re looking for their “long-term true love.”  For 33-percent their primary goal is short-term, and they mostly just want someone to go to holiday parties and events with.  Four-percent of singles are going it alone this year, saying it’s, quote, “too stressful to date during the holidays.”

For those in budding relationships, most singles say a “hug or kiss” would be the best gift they could receive from their date.  But for those who want to do more for their potential future significant other, survey respondents say flowers or a handmade card is the best gift if you’ve just had one date; champagne to share is ideal if you’ve gone out twice; and you can surprise your date with a weekend getaway if you’ve been out together at least three times.
