You know the sign soon as you pass up I-45 headed south into downtown Houston. The BE SOMEONE graffiti has been defaced, restored, defaced and restored again — a sort of metaphor for the city of Houston itself. It’s also inspired some Houston residents to get some serious tattoo work done with the BE SOMEONE logo involved.
One Houston man, George San Miguel, has the slogan tattooed atop his head. He told KTRK, “The ‘Be Someone’ was to represent my city and for every time I look in the mirror, to be positive today.”
