Rapper Mase was just dealt a blow in an ongoing lawsuit filed against him by an Instagram model. The former reverend was hauled into court by Stephanie Delgado, after she alleged he lifted a picture of hers from her Instagram account and used it to promote his single, “Why Can’t We.” According to Delgado, who goes models under the name Stephanie Rao, Mase’s camp never reached out to her to gain permission to use the photograph. Delgado claims the picture wound up being on over 40 websites being used to promote Mase’s song. TMZ is reporting, Delgado sued the former Bad Boy recording artist $60,000 for royalties and $180,000 in damages.

Seems like Mase never took the model’s accusations seriously and never responded to her lawsuit, but a judge did and entered a default judgment in Delgado’s favor. While Delgado may have claimed victory, Mase may be the true winner in this entire situation. When the judge asked Delgado to show proof on how exactly much the picture was really worth to compensate for Mase’s theft of her property. Delgado insisted she made $25,000 promoting a musician’s work for a commercial shoot but couldn’t produce the evidence to back up her claims. Delgado claims the transaction was done in cash only and man going by the name of, “Woo” (what kind of name is Woo?) brokered the deal.

Since Delgado wasn’t able to give any concrete evidence on how much the photograph was really worth, the judge ruled she be compensated a mere $7,500. So far, Mase has yet to speak out about the lawsuit.
