Palms Banquet Hall Suspects

Two suspects were arrested  Friday night, Feb. 28, 2014 in a shooting  incident at the Palms Banquet Hall in the Stafford area.

Suspects are, Donald Henry Nealy, 19, and James Okper Amadi, also 19 and from Houston.  Nealy is connected to two other shootings in the Houston area. Incidents include the shooting at the House of Pies and West Sam Houston Parkway apartment complex.

At 11 p.m., a disturbance started inside the venue and private security and off-duty officers stopped the party, which had been an event arranged through social media.

People gathered in the parking lot area immediately following the disturbance and then gunshots were fired toward a youth who also attended the event.

Missouri City Police Department identified suspects and both were arrested and charged in this case. 

Nealy is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and one count of Aggravated Assault. His bond is placed at $500,000 and is also charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery for offenses that occurred in HPD’s jurisdiction.

A $500,000 bond is placed on Amadi, who is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and one count of Aggravated Assault.
