Uh-oh. Lil Wayne has never shied away from controversy, but after being caught on tape walking, dancing and rapping his way onto of an American flag during a video shoot, one can only imagine what some folks might say and do next. In fact, he could even serve time for it!

Weezy was shooting his “God Bless Amerika” video in New Orleans when it happened. According to TMZ, the lyrics to that song might just stir a lot of people to anger–or applause, depending on what you believe:

My country ’tis of thee / Sweet land of kill ’em all and let ’em die / God bless Amerika / This ole’ godless Amerika.

The U.S. Flag Code serves as a guide to handling and displaying Old Glory, but does not impose penalties for the misuse or desecration of the United States flag on a federal level, as it once did. The Supreme Court struck down provisions in 1989 and 1990 which sought to impose fines and or prison time.

However, in the State of Louisiana, Lil Wayne could be tried theoretically (as it happened in New Orleans) and sentenced to 90 days in jail and a fine of up to $100 for flag desecration, according to About.com.
