Cherae was Born in Columbia Missouri, Cherae Leri entered this world singing, literally. Her style of music fits best in the 90’s era of R&B but overall, forever remains multi-talented in many styles.Although her claim to fame might have been through the modeling world, Cherae is definitely a singer who models and not the other way around.

Ms. Leri has been mentored by the fabulous Erykah Badu, whom she met with her mother while attending the Tom Joyner Morning Show. Ms. Badu has been a positive role model for the young diva always taking the time to give her encouraging words and direction. Ms. Leri has also met and received kind words of encouragement from Patti Labelle, Leela James, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Ms. Millie Jackson, and many more. She has had the opportunity to sing for award winning Blues singer Trudy Lynn. She also was the opening act for Southern Soul Great Kenne Wayne. Ms. Leri is on the new CD with Steve Krase “Buckle Up” and has performed with him on numerous occasions in the Houston area. This young lady is no stranger to the many venues and events in and around Houston, Dallas, New Orleans and Lake Charles Louisiana, Atlanta, and Beverly Hills, California. She has had the pleasure of vocal training in the home of the Great Katy Riggs of Los Angeles, California. Cherae has also been mentored by musicians such as Tommy Mays Saxophonist for Ms. Millie Jackson, Kirk Wilson renowned pianist, Scott Cannady bassist and producer/music director in Las Vegas. So young and determined Cherae is definitely driven to show the world why she is the next Legend.

Cherae recently signed to ET Management International in August 2014 and is a combination of Neo, Soul, Pop, Jazz and R&B.
