UPDATES: April 1

9:44 AM: Houston Methodist is the first hospital in the nation to deliver a new coronavirus treatment involving plasma transfers. The concept, according to Houston Methodist, revolves around the idea that plasma from someone who has recovered from COVID-19 contains antibodies made by one’s immune system and is used to kill the virus. Transferring that antibody-rich plasma to someone who is currently fighting the disease may transfer the power of the antibodies into a healing, possibly life-saving therapy.

New testing location open at Delmar Stadium (1900 Mangum Road).
