Summer movies are in full swing and with the hot nights come even hotter experiences at Rooftop Cinema Club. The kings of rooftop cinema released their August lineup and it’s jam-packed for those couples wanting to have a romantic night out at the movies. The Rooftop Romance series kicks off next month, highlighting films such as Love & Basketball, The Notebook, Brown Sugar, Hitch, and more.

“Rooftop Cinema Club was built on the foundation of ‘Love, Peace and Great Film.’ August was the perfect month to highlight ‘Love,’” says Gerry Cottle, owner and founder of Rooftop Cinema Club. “With summer in full swing, we hoped Houston would appreciate the extra dose of romance for a memorable night out.”
Leading up to August, Rooftop Cinema Club begins setting the mood with a weekly “date night” giveaway in July for guests to win one of Rooftop’s coveted “love seats” by following the official Instagram page, posting a photo with their favorite movie companion, and include #RooftopRomance. Contest ends July 31, 2019.
Rooftop Cinema Club will be open seven-days-a-week in August for guests to soak up the sunset, snap plenty of Instagram-worthy pics, grab cool drinks and a bite before the movie starts around sunset. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets start at $17 per person for a one-person lounge seat. The same single person seat with the addition of bottomless popcorn is $20. Tickets for couples, or anyone looking for a roomier love seat, plus bottomless popcorn, are $24 per person. Student discounts are now available starting at $15.30 per ticket, with valid I.D. required the night of the event.
Rooftop Cinema Club is permanently located within the BLVD Place shopping complex, directly above Whole Foods, at the intersection of Post Oak Blvd. and San Felipe in the Uptown District – 1700 Post Oak Blvd. Guests should use the BLVD Place parking garage and park on, or near, the fifth floor where they’ll also find Rooftop Cinema Club’s entrance.
