It’s been six years since the death of young Trayvon Martin, who lost his life in 2012 after being shot by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman.
The14-year old’s murder completely shook the nation to it’s core. It hasn’t helped that there have thousands of senseless murders of unarmed Black men since then.
Luckily the right folks have put the time and energy to keeping Trayvon’s memory alive. Like Jay-Z, whose documentary Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story airs tonight on BET.
