The Houston Zoo wants its adult visitors to get a little bit lit this summer.

Beginning in May, the Zoo is going to have three “After Dark” nights for those 21 and up, complete with grown beverages for patrons as well. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can check out the animals and also participate in three nights, each with their own specific themes.

Thursday, May 17 – Silent Disco

Each guest will get special headphones with three different channels of music so you can dance. Along with trying to hit the Shoot dance, one can learn the importance of dance as it relates to the different species in the zoo.

Thursday, June 21 – Sip and Sea

Listen to live jazz and sip wine around the zoo’s Reflection Pool for a little fancy soiree. Guests are encouraged to wear white.

Thursday, July 19 – Goin’ Country

That Rodeo gear you thought you stashed away in March? It’s time to break it out again. There’ll be line dancing and a mechanical bull.

The After Dark summer series events are for adults only, so that means no babies or children will be allowed. Tickets are $35 for one night or $90 for for all three events.
