A man has been sentenced to 30 years for shooting and killing Mr. 3-2 (real name Christopher Barriere) in November 2016.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office announced that a jury had given Vincent Depaul Stredic, 40, 30 years in prison for killing Barriere outside of a gas station off of the Sam Houston Parkway. Both men had driven to the gas station with two others before they were involved in an argument. According to court documents and testimony, Stredic used a shotgun from the trunk of his vehicle to shoot Barriere in the side of the head. He left the scene, but not before returning twice to threaten a second man and shoot another.

“Hopefully the jury’s verdict will give some measure of closure to Christopher’s family, friends, and fans, who loved him so much,” Assistant District Attorney Dave Brucker said in a statement Thursday.

3-2 was a member of the Screwed Up Click and Rap-A-Lot Records, famously known for his inventive flows and contributions to songs such as “Ball N Parlay” from Big Pokey and more.
