Jay-Z wasn’t in Los Angeles for All-Star Weekend, conspicuously absent as wife Beyoncé, mother-in-law Tina Knowles-Lawson and daughter Blue Ivy caught All-Star Game from court side. Even though he was in New York, Hov made certain somebody had a great time as he managed to drop nearly $100,000 on champagne for his friend.
The place? Playhouse in NYC. Hov managed to buy 40 bottles of his own Ace of Spades champagne for his friend’s birthday party all in one swoop and apparently pass them out like they were hams on Christmas. The receipt totaled out to $80,000 with an $11,000 tip just for the waitress!
That’s it, maybe one day we’ll get lucky enough to be around Jay-Z in a good mood or even Puff when he’s wanting to purchase Ciroc or Deleon for everyone in the building. An $11,000 tip? Whew. Talk about investing in yourself.
