Shake Shack Raises Prices For Upcoming IPO

Remember the old Burger King in Montrose on 1002 Westheimer? Well, Shake Shack could potentially occupy the space, according to Swamplot. It would become the third stand-alone Shake Shack in the city if launched, and fourth overall following the two locations in the Galleria and Rice Village and the non full-service Shake Shack at Minute Maid Park respectively.

Specializing in burgers, hot dogs, fries, and frozen pies, Shake Shack first gained steam in New York before finally expanding across the country. There were plans for a location opening in Rice Village last year but that plan was pushed back to this year, possibly later this month or March 1.

Kristyn Clark, a representative for Shake Shack told The Houston Chronicle, “We have openly expressed our intention to bring Shake Shack to compelling sites in great neighborhoods. As such, rumors often circulate about potential openings. We have decided not to comment on any of these rumors until we have something concrete to share,” representative Kristyn Clark with Shake Shack said in a brief statement.

The planned location for the Shake Shack would be only steps away from Montrose’s esteemed Burger Joint, a popular lunch destination.
