Kim Burrell still makes no apologies for her homophobic rant that went viral earlier this year. After preaching about a “perverted homosexual spirit,” Burrell still believes she’s doing the work of God.

She appeared on Praise 102.5 FM recently and explained herself. “People don’t even know that I housed homosexual people in my home and I would today,” she said. “But one thing I will never do is stop loving people and I will never not tell the truth of what it is I know.” Burrell also said she wasn’t phased when talk show host Ellen DeGeneres canceled her performance after her homophobic comments. “You know, the Constitution is one thing for America but my Constitution also includes the Bible and I’m going to always stand on the constitution of the word of God,” Burrell said. “And I feel better doing that than thinking that I missed out on an Ellen experience.” She also says people misinterpreted her sermon. It’s hard to misinterpret, “You as a man, you open your mouth and take a man’s penis in your face, you are perverted. You are a woman and will shake your face in another woman’s breast, you are perverted.”

Burrell said one big-time celebrity supported her, despite the backlash. “I’m going to tell you what really helped me,” she said. “I flew out to L.A…and I went to go meet with Jay-Z.” She continued, “Jay-Z called me he says ‘Kim, I always know when Beyoncé is going through something emotional or spiritual because I always hear you. She plays you really loudly through the house.’ So he says ‘this time I need that Kim’ and ‘will you come to L.A.?’” Burrell said she talked with Jigga for two hours and got to know him better as a person. She even brought Snoop Dogg‘s name into the mix, revealing that she’ll be on two tracks for his upcoming gospel album.

Kim claims she’s doing all of this in the name of “kingdom business.” You can check out her words for yourself below.
