After their win last night against the San Antonio Spurs in game 4 and they’re hit with the reality that they have to go forward without the reserve center NeNê.
Last night during the game, Nenê’s injury was announced as a groin injury, but today the team announcement confirmed his injury as a diagnosis of a torn left adductor.

“I hate it for Nenê,” coach Mike D’Antoni said. “He’s been so valuable all year and such a good guy. The good news is I don’t think it’s as bad as I’m hoping it wouldn’t be. I think it’s going to turn out that way. Obviously he’s done for this series. We’re just hoping he gets well quick.”
The beard even had something to say about Nenê’s injury… “He’s a big part of what we do. .. guys have to step up. It’s an opportunity for guys who don’t play big minutes and for guys like Montreal Harrell who haven’t played and might get some opportunities. Whoever it is, we’ve got to try to fill that role.”
In 2002, Nenê entered the NBA Draft where he was selected seventh overall and became the first Brazilian to be selected in first round of the NBA draft.
