While most of us may be busy this Monday afternoon firing up the grill and spending time with our loved ones, not everyone is looking forward to celebrating July 4.
As America basks in its independence, Twitter users wasted no time to remind the Internet of this country’s troubling history plagued by injustices – most of which still affect many to this day.
Starting early this morning the hashtag #AmericaWasNeverGreat began trending and tweeters from all over the country held no punches:
For many, America surely isn’t the land of the free, after all.
