Sometimes the cool teacher is just way to cool.  Alexandria Vera, who was known to let kids at Stovall Middle School use cell phones in class, is allegedly pregnant…by one of her eight grade students.

Vera, 24, has been charged with continuous sex abuse of a child but has not arrested.

The English teacher allegedly admitted to having a sexual relationship with the young boy since September (2015) when he was 13.

Supposedly she first met the student during a summer school session and then he tried to communicate with his English teach on Instagram.  She later sent a message to the student

Vera told the officer that she first met the student during a summer school session. The DA’s Office said the student, who was in her English class, tried to communicate with the teacher on Instagram. She later sent a message to the student after not being in class, which led to the student asking for her phone number.

Vera said the student asked if the two of them could hang out and she said ‘yes,’ according to court documents. She told the officer she drove to the student’s house to pick the student up, in which they drove around and she said that they kissed in the car.

“That kid was always over (Vera’s house in Spring) and she always told (neighbors) it was her brother,” said one neighbor, who did not want to be identified.

In a statement, school district officials said:

Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student. When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave.  Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.  The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.

She now faces a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child but police have not been able to find her to serve an arrest warrant.
