The famous 1980’s Colt 45 have decided to bring back their commercials and advertisement for their infamous Colt 45 malt liquors.
Their malt liquor was famous for having the actor Billy Dee Williams in them with his line was “I drink, you drink. Hell, if marijuana was legal, I’d appear in a commercial for that too.”
Maybe the Colt 45 people could see into the future with the legalization of marijuana.
The new commercial will show Billy Dee’s 1980’s character and it will end with Billy Dee’s 2016 self saying, “The world moves fast, but change isn’t always a good thing when you got it right the first time around. Because sometimes a true original doesn’t need to change a thing. It works every time.”
In the USA Today story, they tell us that the brand is trying to com back from their brand falling behind the other U.S. malt liquors sales. Their competitors are Steel Reserve, Mickey’s and Olde English, making Colt 45 number 6 in the top seven malt liquor brands.
Keep your eyes opened for the new Billy Dee commercials.
