Beyonce aka Queen Bey has filed suit against a Texas company for selling items with the name “Feyonce” on it.
The company’s available merchandise all say “Feyonce,” but they have a coffee mug that says, “Feyonce- put a ring on it” too.
The other merchandise consists of t-shirts for men and women, hoodies, tank tops, sweaters, etc…
The suit is for the company to stop sale of the 2008 lyrics to “Single Ladies” and the name #feyonce since it comes close to her trademarked name, ‘Beyonce’.
The case was filed on Manhattan fed court by the law firm, Pryor Cashman with unspecified damages.
The case is No. 16-02532; Knowles-Carter, et al v. Maurice, et al; U.S. District Court; Southern District of New York.
The lawyers for Beyonce and the defendants themselves declined to comment.
