We have explored the senseless violence all too often faced by young African American men and have become more sympathetic to the plight of women aching for the respect of their male counterparts. However, as African Americans, we have ignored some of the internal cultural struggles which plague our community.
Radio One’s KG Smooth, along with a dynamic panel, is partnering with Texas Southern University in hosting an informative and candid discussion on generational curses, colorism & standards of beauty, and the destruction of the Black family unit entitled Reverse The Curse: Moving The Culture Forward.
