The Captain of the Northwestern, Sig Hansen has reportedly have taken a fall while fishing for crabs.
Sig briefly passed out during filming and and working on his boat and when Sig woke up, he insisted on continuing with fishing for crab.
Thankfully for the production crew who also was insistent, but they insisted that Sig seek medical treatment.
The crew got Sig airlifted off the ship and straight into the hospital where his daughter Mandy took a pic, posted it to her IG page and later removed it.
The pic showed her taking a selfie with her parents with the caption, “Capt. survived the ‘widow maker’!! Beating a heart attack ain’t easy. Welcome back boss.”
Back in 2014, Mandy was a crew member too and according to the Deadliest Catch Facebook page, Sig will return March 29th.
Not many people have that kind of passion to suffer a heart attack, pass out and then want to get up and keep working.
