One of Jay-Z‘s “99 problems” is Rymir Satterthwaite. For the past five years, Rymir has been trying to compel Jay to take a DNA test to prove that the mogul is his father. Before Hov was the rap legend that he is today, he supposedly hooked up with Rymir’s mother, Wanda Satterthwaite in the early 1990s.
According to Radar Online, the 22-year-old and his mother have been fighting their battle for so long because initially they were “legally and financially unprepared to deal with the enormity of their cases.” TMZ reports that Jay submitted “fraudulent” information to the court in efforts to get the case dismissed.
As a successful businessman, Jay is used to his fair share of lawsuits over music, endorsements, failed partnerships and more. However, this particular suit has allegedly caused a major rift between Hov and Beyonce.
“She was screaming at him at the top of her lungs in their Beverly Hills rental home” a source told Radar Online. “Beyonce told him that she just could not deal with it anymore!”
Allegedly, Jay has a history of infidelity (remember Solange ‘Elevator-Gate’?) and Rymir is an undesired reminder about her husband’s past.
Queen Bey is already under a lot of stress regarding her “Formation” World Tour. The singer has received intense backlash from former fans as well as politicians and law enforcement who now believe the 34-year-old is a racist that’s anti-police.
Mrs. Carter has always been in control of her image and her perception in the media. Between the negativity surrounding “Formation” and the resurgence of Rymir, Beyoncé may be at her breaking point.
The source also told Radar that this alleged paternity fight is such an issue for the couple that, “Beyonce and Jay Z have been living in separate bedrooms in their house pretty much since they moved in.”
When Rymir isn’t in court, he’s trying to walk in Jay-Z’s footsteps. Surprisingly (#sarcasm) Rymir is an aspiring rapper. Click here to check out the upcoming lyricist’s music video.
Dear Beauties that are also a member of the #BeyHive, before you sting, let’s think this through. Do you think Rymir and his mother would keep pursuing a legal case against Jay-Z for over five years if there wasn’t a chance that the mogul is the 22-year-old’s father? Wouldn’t it be easier for Jay-Z to just submit to the DNA test to clear his name as opposed to letting Rymir continue to get publicity off of the allegations?
