While Mike Epps is gearing up to star in the bio pic “Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said,” this may a good time to learn about the real legend.

First aired on PBS and on now available on Netflix, “Richard Pryor: Icon” chronicles life the the comic. From being raised in a bordello to walking off a Las Vegas stage to discover his true persona, this 55 minute film is good brief overview of one of  (if not) the greatest comedians of all-time.

Now, if you really want to dig deeper- check out “Richard Pryor: Omit The Logic” which is a Showtime-produced doc with more revealing footage like the failed footage of the night before he taped his classic “Live On the Sunset Strip” film. But, if your a Netflix customer, this will be worth the look.
