The Shrine Cultural & Events Center is hosting BUY BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND, an event that kicks off on “Black Friday” and seeks to provide holiday shoppers with the opportunity to support Black businesses on the biggest shopping weekend of the year.
BUY BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND will take place on Friday, November 27 & Saturday, November 28 and will have Black business owners, authors, food vendors, and live entertainment. The event seeks to stand in solidarity with national efforts to support Black businesses on “Black Friday” and throughout the holiday season.
The event will take place at 5309 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard Houston, TX 77021.
All manner of local Black businesses will be on hand during the two-day event that seeks to provide a tangible example of the power Black people possess when we work together, as evidenced by the success of Black student activists and athletes in their recent stand against racial injustice at the University of Missouri.
