Jennifer Connell, a resources manager from New York, claimed the now 12-year old, acted unreasonably. She also added that he should be accountable for his behavior and is asking for $127,000 in damages.

Connell also told the judge that the injury has had a massive impact on her daily life.

“I live in Manhattan in a third-floor walk-up, so it has been very difficult. And we all know how crowded it is in Manhattan.” She added, “I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvre plate.”

The boy’s mother, Lisa Tarala, died last year. The boy’s father was with him Friday for proceedings at Connecticut Superior Court in Bridgeport.

After deliberating for 20 minutes on Tuesday, a Superior Court jury in Bridgeport, Connecticut found that Jennifer Connell is not entitled to any damages in her lawsuit against her 12-year-old nephew, Sean Tarala.
