The WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy “Super Fly Snuka was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. With this diagnoses, the Dr.’s did a surgical procedure that removed part of his stomach and his lymph nodes in order to help remove his cancer.
Journalist Bill Apter did an interview with Jimmy’s wife, Carole online and she said, “The doctors said he did very well. They’re very happy with the outcome. He still has a long road ahead of him, and the doctor says he’s an amazingly strong man. We all know how strong Jimmy is, and Jimmy can take a beating… He also wants to let his fans know that he’s not done yet.”

Carole also said that the Dr.’s believe that they did remove the cancer during that surgical procedure and they were to release him on July 31st.
Snuka who is now 72, has had his share of medical issues over the recent years. In 2011, WWE Diva, Dawn Marie campaigned for help in covering some of Snuka’s ankle surgery costs. The surgery for his ankle was covered partially by the fan’s and with their help, $24,000 was covered.
Snuka was inducted in 1996 by Don Muraco. Snuka is a one-time NWA United States Heavyweight Champion, two-time NWA World Tag Team Champion and two-time ECW Heavyweight Champion too.
Snuka’s daughter is currently on the active roster as a WWE Diva. His daughter is Tamina Snuka and Tamina made her debut in May 2010 when she was placed with the Uso brothers.
The Uso’s are also second-generation wrestlers with their father being Rikishi. The Uso’s also have great uncles The Wild Samoans and are descendants of the legendary Samoan Anoa’i family.
