Christian Audigier, the designer behind Ed Hardy and Von Dutch, has passed away from his battle with cancer July 9, according to TMZ. He was 57 years old.
Audigier was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a bone marrow disorder, in January. The French designer was most known for his tattooed shirts and trucker hats on celebrities in the early-2000’s.
He got his start working for MacKeen Jeans when he was just 15 years old, and he then went on to work for other denim brands such as Levi’s and Diesel. Audigier’s amassed a net worth of $250 million, and his brands are still sold around the world.
