MAN HOLD UP? Over 10 hours?!  — In New York,  Tom Brady’s appeal hearing over his “Deflategate” suspension is over after one long day.  The hearing yesterday lasted more than 10 hours and no further meetings are scheduled.  Brady’s fate now rests in the hands of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who oversaw the hearing by his own appointment.  There is no timetable for Goodell’s decision.

The Patriot quarterback was suspended for four games for his role in the use of underinflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game in January.  An independent investigation determined it was more probable than not that Brady was at least generally aware of the activity surrounding the footballs in question.  The Patriots were also fined one-million dollars and docked two draft picks.
