Man Hold up – It’s that time already? Amy Schumer is taking center stage at Sunday’s 2015 MTV Movie Awards. The comedian will be taking on hosting duties this year, in anticipation of her upcoming Judd Apatow-directed movie “Trainwreck,” one of the summer’s most anticipated comedies. Some of the nominees in the running for the show’s coveted Golden Popcorn statue are movies like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Hunger Games,” “The Fault In Our Stars” and “Boyhood.” Robert Downey Jr. will be on hand to accept the night’s lifetime achievement honor, the “Generation” award. Shailene Woodley will receive the “Trailblazer” award and Kevin Hart will receive the “Comedic Genius” award.
Musical performers this year include Fall Out Boy, Charli XCX, Tinashe, Ty Dolla Sign and Fetty Wep. The 2015 MTV Movie Awards air live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 12th at 8 p.m. Eastern.
