(Undated) — The Reverend Al Sharpton is speaking out against Hollywood’s list of all-white Oscar nominees. He called for an “emergency meeting” to discuss the recently announced nominations and possible actions against the Academy Awards. He said the movie industry is like the Rocky Mountains because “the higher you get, the whiter it gets.” While “Selma,” a film about Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, was nominated for Best Picture, all of the nominees for best actor, best actor and best director are white. It was only the second time in the last 20 years there was no minority nominee in the major acting and directing categories.
