(Pasadena, CA)  —  Netflix is marking up calendars with premiere dates for some new original series.  At the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena Wednesday, reps for the video streaming service said there were plans to roll out 320 hours of original programming this year ranging from dramas to kids’ shows.  Among the highlights is the highly-anticipated return of “House of Cards,” which will begin its third season on Netflix on February 27th.  The Tina Fey-produced sitcom “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” starring Ellie Kemper, is scheduled to premiere on March 6th, followed by the family drama “Bloodline,” starring Kyle Chandler, Sam Shepard and Sissy Spacek on March 20th.  On April 10th, Netflix will roll out its first comic-book inspired drama “Marvel’s Daredevil.”  And “Grace and Frankie,” starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, is set to debut on May 8th.

This month, kids and adults alike can look forward to the premiere of “The Adventures of Puss in Boots” on January 16th.  The animated series revolves around the character from the “Shrek” franchise.  Netflix also announced the renewal of its historical drama “Marco Polo” for a second ten-episode season and said it was “optimistic” for another season of “Arrested Development.”
