(Undated) — Hollywood is reacting to Sony’s decision to pull the release of “The Interview” following terror threats linked to the movie. On Twitter, late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel called it “an act of cowardice that validates terrorist actions and sets a terrifying precedent.” Actor Rob Lowe tweeted his opinion that “everyone caved” and the “hackers won.” Filmmaker Michael Moore addressed the Sony Hackers in a sardonic tweet that read: “now that u run Hollywood, I’d also like less romantic comedies, fewer Michael Bay movies and no more Transformers.”
Sony cancelled the release of the controversial comedy Wednesday following a terror threat believed to have been delivered by the hacking group that infiltrated Sony’s communications systems last month. “The Interview” deals with an assassination plot against current North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. U.S. investigators are reportedly set to announce North Korea’s link to the massive cyber attack that also led to the leak of sensitive Sony information.
