It’s been a rough week for Sony Studio co-Chairman Amy Pascal and producer Scott Rudin. As I previously reported, they had a major security breach in which emails were leaked that involved them talking about Kevin Hart.
Hart stars in an upcoming Sony film titled, “The Wedding Ringer.” In the emails, Rudin calls Hart a “money whore” because he wanted more money to advertise the movie on his social networks.
Although these emails were embarrassing, I didn’t see anything detrimental… until now.
A new batch of emails between Pascal and Rudin hit the internet that revealed racial jokes aimed at President Obama.
According to Buzzfeed, Pascal asked Rudin for advice about what she should ask the President before going to his fundraiser.
Peep the interaction below:
Rudin – “Would he like to finance some movies.”
Pascal – “I doubt it. Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?”
Rudin – “12 YEARS.”
Pascal – “Or the butler. Or think like a man?”
Rudin – “Ride-along. I bet he likes Kevin Hart.”
Now what makes this all super interesting, is that Amy Pascal is a major donor for the Democratic party and President Obama.
So what do you think? Should they be in trouble for their personal, yet racist emails? Or is it fair game?
