HPD Halloween Safety TIPS!

Halloween is TODAY.  For many kids, it means costumes, candy and trick or treating.  But, there are some basic steps adults can take to help keep those kids safe.

.        DON’T let children walk alone

.        DON’T let Children enter the homes or cars of strangers

.        DON’T let children eat any candy not inspected by an adult

.        DO wear light colored or reflective costumes

.        DO carry a flashlight or some other light source to make them more visible.

Lastly, motorists are asked to use extra caution and watch out for children out trick-or-treating-especially after dark.  Children, especially the littler ones, can be excited and not pay attention to traffic.  You can do your part by watching out for them.
