Once again the topic of domestic violence is back in the news for another “star”, but this time it isn’t on an athlete, it’s one of the Fast and the Furious’ stars.
Arrested was 36 year old William Omar Landron Rivera aka Don Omar on domestic violence charges. Omar was arrested early Wednesday morning at his house in Northern Coastal town of Vega Alta where the investigation was in it’s opening stages, but it looked to have shown patterns of past abuse. The Lieutenant Aimee Alvarado said, “There are incidents reported on different dates, different situations”, but Omar claimed that he did not even know what he was being arrested for. The arrest was said to be from a Puerto Rican Law in Puerto Rico called Ley 54 which is a law on prevention and intervention of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
