There is a town in Brazil called Novia do Cordeiro that is populated by 600 mostly only single women. The women who are married in this town only allow their husbands to visit on the weekends and if they have sons, the sons are sent away at the age of 18. What a dreamy marriage.
This town was originally founded in 1891 by an excommunicated adulteress and the last man who lived there died in 1995 and the town women decided than that they would never live under male domination again. One town resident Nelma Fernandes, 23 year old, said, “The only men we single girls met are either married or related to us. We all dream of falling in love and getting married, but we like living here and don’t want to have to leave the town to find a husband.”
The town’s website went down due to a large volume of traffic too.
